| Karisma Kapoor is a National Film Award-winning actress. Born into Bollywood's famous Kapoor family, she is the daughter of actor's Randhir and Babita Kapoor. She is also the older sister to actress Kareena Kapoor. Karisma's film debut was in Prem Qaidi (1991), which was considered a semi-hit. She went on to win Filmfare awards for Best Actress for her performances in Raja Hindustani (1996)and Zubeidaa (2002). She also won a National award for Best Supporting Actress in Dil To Pagal Hai (1998). In 2003 Kapoor married industrialist Sanjay Kapur, CEO of Sixt India, after a her previous engagement to actor Abhishek Bachchan was called off. Kapoor has taken a break from films after marriage but says that she will comeback once she finds a project she is truly interested in. |
