Bollywood star John Abraham was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, the same hospital where superstar Amitabh Bachchan underwent a successful surgery for 'diverticulitis' of the small intestine on November 30.

"Abraham, aged 32, was admitted to the hospital last night with fever. Investigations will be carried out," said hospital spokesperson and vice president Narendra Trivedi.

Abraham was suffering from viral fever and bronchitis from mid-November when he was shotting for his film Kabul Express in Kabul. He was not well when he returned from the shoot and has since been.

He was to scheduled to return for the shoot in December and the shooting team, which is stationed in Kabul, had tight security provided after the killing of an Indian, Maniyappan Raman Kutty in Afghanistan last month.
