'Rang De Basanti' cleared, Amitabh, Rani and Bhansali win Screen AwardsYesterday we reported about Rang De Basanti finding itself in controversy. According to IndiaFM, the film depicts the frequent crashes of MIG-21 aircrafts and certain politicians are shown taking bribes.

Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee had a private screening of the film with the film's director Rakesh Mehra and star Aamir Khan and felt that the scenes were not objectionable. The film has been passed by the censors with a U/A certificate and will release as scheduled next Friday, January 20th.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black swept the Screen Awards this year, winning every major category. The film's stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherji walked away with the Best Actor and Best Actress accolades, while Bhansali took the Best Director award and Black won for Best Film.
