Collectable Don Comic To Be Release In Films Third Week
By Krishna Jewel | November 02, 2006
Collectable Don Comic To Be Release In Films Third Week Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are savvy businessmen and are leaving no stones unturned for their latest release Don.

They have experimented outwith typical marketing strategies for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer from the beginning. Prior to the film's release, Excel Films launched unique popcorn holders baring images from Don. Now, their next unique marketing move will be to launch 80 page comic books based on the film.

Ritesh Sidhwani says that they have been working on the comic book idea for a while; now the book will be ready for launch by 6 November. However, unfortunately for SRK and Don fans outside India, the comic books won't be found on the shelves but rather will be given away at multiplexes when one buys their Don tickets.

One of the more important reasons they have taken this action is that the film has received a lot of positive response from children. This motivated them to go ahead with their plans and make the comic book.

The books will be given out from the third week, which Ritesh says will have repeat audiences and most of them will be children.

It's his desire that the book to be a collectible item for children, rather than just another comic.
