Hrithik Roshan was the original choice for the role of Karan in Rakeysh Mehra's Rang De Basanti (Anupam Kher's son in the film). Even Aamir Khan visited Hrithik to get him to do the role, however Hrithik decided against doing the film. Arjun Rampal was later to do the role, before it ended up going to Siddharth.

The rumor mill has been running overtime lately with rumors that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are dating. There now apparently seems to be some merit to the rumors. At Abhishek's 30th birthday bash, which was attended by the who's who of the industry, Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan were conspicuous by their absence. Also, Aishwarya was amongst the first to arrive and the last to leave.

Bollyvista also reports that Abhishek escorted Ash to the party, keeping her by his side, holding her hand and mother Jaya introduced her to all her friends and relatives. Also, apparently after Abhishek Bachchan cut his birthday cake he gave a piece to Ash, after Amitabh and Jaya.

Abhishek and Aishwarya are currently filming together for J.P. Dutta's Umrao Jaan and will soon be filming together for Dhoom 2. However, they are not cast opposite each other in the film.
