Individually both Govinda and Akshay have confirmed their comic talents. Govinda is a laugh out loud hit in David Dhawan comedies, like wise Akshay Kumar is in Priyadarshan's comic ventures, which includes the latest “Garam Masala”. Priyadarshan is bringing these two actors together for the first time for his film “Bhaagam-Bhaag”.
“As the title suggests it's a totally crazy comedy of errors like Stanley Kramer's It's A Mad Mad Mad World,” reveals the director. “It involves characters in a theatrical group from India who have to perform in London. The actors in the group include Akshay Kumar who is the villain in the play. Govinda is the hero, while Paresh Rawal owns the repertory. The story unfolds when the play's heroine, fed up with Akshay's and Govinda's antics, refuses to turn up. So, once in London they're on the lookout for a new heroine. It's a crazy film."
Priyadarshan has just returned after finalising the location in London. “The entire film has to be shot in London. This will be my first film to be shot abroad entirely, the last being America America in Malayalam.”
"I have never worked with Govinda. But I feel the role in Bhaagam-Bhaag is tailor-made for him. He's a guy who can only communicate in his mother tongue in London. Both Akshay and Govinda are good in comic timing and I'm going to cash in on that. This is going to be my last comedy for a while, then I'll shift to a couple of serious subjects,” says Priyadarshan.
Lara Dutta and Paresh Rawal will join Akshay and Govinda in this comedy, to be launched this June. Sanjay Dutt will make a guest appearance in the film
