After many a lip-lock with a bevy of Bollywood beauties on the silver screen, Emraan Hashmi is now deeming his lips off limits.

The actor has justifiably been awarded the title of ‘serial kisser’ in the industry. However, as of late, it seems that now that he is engaged to his girlfriend Parveen Shahani, he is contemplating becoming more restrained and sober about his roles.

On the other hand, rather paradoxically, Emraan seems to be willing to continue doing intimate and bold scenes.

Although Anurag Basu’s ‘Gangster’ may be the last film in which Emraan may be seen engaged in lip action with his heroine, Emraan will participate in some action scenes of another kind in Aditya Datt’s ‘Dil Diya Hai’, he and new London actress Geeta Basra will be ‘hard at it’ in some really bold scenes.

So let’s recap - Emraan won’t kiss, but intimate is acceptable.

One has to ask why kissing is more personal and intimate to Emraan than the bold scenes? Does it not stand to reason that if one chooses not to kiss out of respect for their partner, then the rest should follow as well?

As someone else recently said, and I wholly concur - Reminds me of the dialogue from ‘Pretty Woman’ in which Julia Roberts says: “I do everything, but I don’t kiss on the lips.”
