Saturdays Indian Idol grand finale was a special occasion for more than one reason. Not only did Kajol agreed to be the special judge, composers Jatin-Lalit also got together for the last time in order to coach the two finalists Sandeep and Karunya to sing the popular Qawwalli ‘Subhan Allah’ from the forthcoming ‘Fanaa’.

'Fanaa' is the last film that Jatin and Lalit will collaborate on the music for. Thereafter, the brothers are going their separate ways. "So, in a way, the Indian Idol finals will be a good send-off for Jatin-Lalit," says a Sony spokesperson.

The very special guest at the grand finale was Kajol, who watched and evaluated the two finalists as they battled it out in the finale.
