Star Aamir Khan has been asked by a Gujarat based NGO to withdraw his support to Narmada Bachao Andolan, which is spearheading a protest against the Sardar Sarovar Project.

V K Saxena, president of National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL), has claimed in a letter to the actor that allegedly NBA activists have being receiving financial aid for carrying out anti-dam protests and the NBA activists have also over 200 FIRs registered against them.

The NGO claimed it “have been closely watching the activities of NBA from the last six years" and the NBA activists have been involved in violence and have 200 FIRs against them in Gujarat and about 50 others in Madhya Pradesh. also NCCL has enclosed some of the details regarding the FIR filed against the NBA activists, also giving a list of foreign aid allegedly received by the NBA and its associate organisations.

The letter also conveys information about benefits of the dam and details about re-habitation of people affected by the project.

The letter said the "facts" would help change Aamir's opinion about the Sardar Sarovar Dam project and withdraw his support to the NBA.
