Suneil Shetty will not be working with Rituparno Ghosh in "Rahgeer". The actor, who was supposed to play Vidya Balan's husband in the film, has politely declined the role that was offered to him by Ghosh.

It appears that, Suneil turned down the offer due to the fact he has taken some time off work and will return later.

Rongita Nandy of the production house confirms, "Suneil is not doing the film. It is true that Rituparno had approached Suneil for the role, but he was not signed on for the film.

Suneil loved the script and was excited about the film, but as he has currently decided to go on a sabbatical for six months, he had to turn the offer down.

Suneil said, 'If I do this film my other producers might take offence. 'It was very nice of him to inform us well in advance so could we find an alternative," Nandy said.
