Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan says he plays nasty in Omkara, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello."A strong theme in this film is insecurity and jealousy, which is often the very case in any society," he says.
"My character is named Eshwar Tyagi, nicknamed Langda (lame) Tyagi due to his limp, which only adds to the already nasty piece of work that he is. He is disappointed because his boss doesn't promote him. And he just destroys people around him. He uses them and their proximity to him to destroy them. A strong theme in this film is insecurity and jealousy which is often the very life in any society," reports Saif.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film also stars Ajay Devgan in the lead, actresses Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu also feature in the film, set to release in July 2006.
