PETALING JAYA: To the rest of the world he may be the “Baadshah of Bollywood”, megastar “King Khan”, but, to his children Shah Rukh Khan is Papa.

Shah Rukh Khan is incontrovertibly Indian Cinema’s leading actor, a true megawatt megastar. While Amitji is a legend in his own time and one of the most respected actors in Hindi Cinema, even Amitabh Bachchan has said Shah Rukh is the King.

A king who can warm hearts with his cheeky antics and dimpled smile, or have us on the edge of our seats with his intense and fast paced action, or capture the hearts of millions of women with his expressive eyes, tender smile and charming, sexy ways.

It was this very king who visited the Naza World showroom in Jalan 51A/221 in Malaysia yesterday with his wife Gauri, their two children, and an entourage in tow.

Of course he didn’t pop to Malaysia to have a look around the showroom, he has been in Malaysia for some time now with several others - Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampai, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani – shooting the remake of the 70s action thriller Don.

Naza Group sponsored some of the cars used in the film and early this month a scene was shot in the showroom.

Shah Rukh Khan - looking ever hip, slick and cool in sunglasses, a dark-blue T-shirt and jeans - kept a sharp eye on his children as he moved through the showroom full of luxury cars with Naza Group chairman and CEO Tan Sri Nasimuddin SM Amin.

As photographers clicked away, daddy’s little princess, Suhana, six, tightly held her father’s hand while son Aryan, nine, displayed a clear penchant for fast cars, making a dash for the Ferrari and Lamborghini on display.

At a high tea earlier, Shah Rukh chatted with Nasimuddin, Naza-Brabus Motor Sdn Bhd executive director Datuk Mokhzani Mahathir and others about, among other things, the film industry.

“Malaysia is a wonderful country and we are enjoying our time here,” Shah Rukh said when asked about his trip.

Last month, Hindi Cinema director Farhan Akhtar and his crew were in Langkawi for shooting. They are now in Kuala Lumpur, where shooting is taking place at several locations - including the Petronas Twin Towers, Subang and the Penchala Link.
