While some sections of the media continue changing Vikram Bhatt’s story for him regarding whether his life is part of the story line of Ankahee or not - although the filmmaker has emphatically said it is not an autobiography. One thing is certain, his voice is a part of the film, he has dubbed for Aftab.

Apparently, Vikram felt that Aftab’s voice was not mature enough for the character. The director made the decision to personally dub for the actor. This is not the first time this has happened. It might be recalled that during Kasoor, Vikram had dubbed for Aftab then as well. This is not unheard of, other actors whose voices were dubbed in the recently include Upel Patel in 36 China Town, Kim Sharma in Tom, Dick and Harry, Katrina Kaif in Humko Deewana Kar Gaye and Koena Mitra in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena.
