Actor Rajpal Yadav is very excited about the fact he will have two releases on the same day, Phir Hera Pheri the sequel to Priyadarshan's Hera Pheri and a Priyadarshan film - Chup Chup Ke. Both films are hilarious comedies coming from reputable banners and have much in common, apart from his presence in the films. However, Rajpal is more buoyant about the latter in which he has a full-scale role. "It is for the first time in my career that I have two releases on the same day. Both are good films in their own right but I am more charged up about Chup Chup Ke, in which I am playing one of the five main protagonists. I consider it as one of the best roles of my career from the 60 films that I have done so far, apart from Main Madhuri... and Main Meri Patni Aur Woh, in which I have played the lead role," he enthuses.
In particular, he is looking forward to his part with Paresh Rawal in the film. "It is one of the best parts of the film. The two of us play fishermen and we share a remarkable on-screen chemistry," he says. This is Rajpal's fourth film with Priyadarshan, following on the heels of Hungama, Garam Masala and Malamaal Weekly. "I am lucky to have worked with him in so many films. He has a great forte for comedy and is absolutely clear about the confusion he creates on screen with his humor. Also he goes to great lengths to define his characters," he says.
He is aware about the apprehensions prevailing among traders about the likely confusion between the two films, with both giving the impression of being Priyadarshan films. "Hera Pheri may probably give the feeling of being a Priyadarshan film because of the words Hera Pheri but the audiences are definitely not so na that they will mistake it for a Priyadarshan film. I am sure both Chup Chup Ke and Phir Hera Pheri will have their own share of audiences," he says.
