'It's only a game', or so they say. Yet, having their favourites knocked out of the World Cup left many shattered and heartsick earlier this month. Among the 'affected' was Suniel Shetty's young son, Ahaan. The youngster is passionate about the game; he followed every move on the field with zeal, and of course was rooting for his favourite England all the way. However, when England was knocked out by Portugalon penalty shootouts, little Ahaan was inconsolable. He would not stop crying. It was left to Suniel to explain that it is 'only a game' and how a single goal could make all the difference; but it was no reflection on Beckham's men. In addition, one team had to lose. Only then did Ahaan calm down.
Now here's a little secret: It seems the apple does not fall too far from the tree. When Brazil lost - Suniel went into a room and he too cried his eyes out.
Uhm, Papa Suniel, did you forget your wise words to your little Shetty?
