Mumbai: After getting the nation and beyond rocking with the number Dhoom Dhoom the pop singer Tata Young has returned to India. However, this time, she has come to Mumbai not to record a song for a film, but to record with music director Sandeep Chowta for her latest album, saying she wanted more Hindi lyrics in her song.Tata Young has implied that she was interested in acting in Hindi films. Going on to say she is was open to doing Hindi films but no producer has approached her yet. Outrageously, the Thai singer has said she is cool with the whole casting couch thing, adding that it's just another step to stardom. She claims there’s nothing wrong with the casting couch, saying happens in Hollywood and just about everywhere in the world.
Oddly enough, she also says she wishes Bollywood would collaborate with artists from other countries and shoot films in different locations. Perhaps she has not seen many Hindi films.
One has to wonder how many Hindi films she has actually seen, as most songs are shot on location outside India, as well as many entire films these days; KHNH, Salaam Namaste, KANK and Krrish to name a few.
Additionally, she could not pronounce Dhoom in the song Dhoom Dhoom - she is actually saying Doom. After a great deal of effort and frustration, they finally gave up, and just let it her say Doom. So, how then does she imagine she could be in a Hindi film?
Perhaps she expects to be the face and someone else to dub the dialogues.
