Omkara tax-free for three months in UP

Omkara  tax-free for three months in UPVishal Bhardwaj's latest multi-starrer, Omkara, on Thursday was granted an exemption from entertainment tax for three months in Uttar Pradesh.

The state government said that the film spreads the message of checking crime among youth.

A decision was taken at a meeting of the state Cabinet in Lucknow, Chief Secretary N C Bajpai told newspersons.

He said the decision had been taken as the film starring Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Konkana Sen, Bipasha Basu and Naseeruddin Shah is set in the Western UP town of Meerut and spreads the message of checking rising crime among the youth.
