It looks like our stars may get a break from the sections of the media and other factions that have been lambasting them of late for their endorsement of cola products.

Health Minister Ramadoss has refuted claims of high levels of pesticides in colas by the Centre For Scientific Studies by giving them a clean chit.

It may be a setback to the supporters of struggling politician Uma Bharti. Her supporters lambasted actor Shah Rukh Khan and tried to halt the screening of his latest blockbuster, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.

Filmmaker and activist Mahesh Bhatt has strongly objected to the confrontation shown towards the star. According to Bhatt, the repeated attempts by political parties to suppress actors like Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh is because they belonged to a minority group.

Thus far, Shah Rukh hasn't reacted to the campaign launched against him, or asked as to why only he is the only one singled out over other stars who endorsed the colas.
