Mumbai: Recently there was quite a to do at a brand new mall in the city and a crowd gathered outside within minutes. Were they waiting for Shah Rukh? No, actually the crowd was waiting for Karan Johar.

Apparently, Karan has been so wrapped up in filming his latest sure to be mega hit KANK that he has had no time for himself - not even to any shopping personal shopping - in quite some time. So, now that KANK is ready for release in a few days, he can take a breather and decided to treat himself to a shopping spree at the new mall. He was seen checking out all the latest gizmos and gadgets.

Imagine the shy directors surprise when he realised a huge crowd that would make even Shah Rukh proud had gathered outside the mall to catch a glimpse of their favourite director. Of course, when Karan came out, the fans mobbed him with autograph requests. After signing for a few fans, the rather shy Karan immediately jumped in his car and zoomed off.

However, with all the positive attention KANK has been getting, Karan had better get used to it fast.
