Karan Johar recently experinced a first in his career with KANK and it's subject matter.

Now, he will experince another first, as the first Indian filmmaker chosen to be on the judge's panel of the Miss World 2007.

Karan considers this as a further globalization of Hindi Cinema. He has judged a few beauty pageants in India, however, this is the first time that he will be judging a global pageant. On September 30th, the director will be in Warsaw, Poland to judge the 56th Miss World contest.

This year Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna was screened at the Toronto Film Fesival, where he spoke on the global awareness of Hindi Cinema.

Along with Johar at the festival were Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

They took part in a press confernece and screening of the film as well as a masterclass.
