It is certain that by now everyone is aware that September is jam packed with film releases planned every week, 30 in total so far.

In contrast to the month of October and only 2 confirmed releases, so far, Don - The Chase Begins Again and Jaan-E-Mann. It looks like the previously announced October release of Umrao Jaan is highly unlikely now, especially with both of the previously mentioned films on a theatre booking rampage. Additionally, JP Dutta has not even begun the promotion of his film.

On the other hand, there are films like Bhoot Unkle, Jackpot - The Money Game, Sanam Teri Kasam and Zamaanat that have come up with a release date for what seems like the umpteenth time but never see the light of day - except now for Bhoot Unkle . Shockingly, this leaves only 2 films for the entire month of October. However, they are expected to be blockbusters.

With no film really daring to arrive a week before or after these two biggies, there are an extraordinary number of slots vacant for some small time films to arrive in October.
