While the Indian media continues to report on the alleged feud between superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, over the last couple of weeks there has been some insight into the feud from an unexpected source. Stephen Colbert, host of the popular comedy news program The Cobert Report, which airs weeknights in the U.S., highlighted the feud on two of his shows when doing a bit about celebrity feuds.

On his first program he began talking about celebrity feuds in the U.S. like Madonna and Angelina Jolie, and Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump. From there, he shifted gears and mockingly said that the feud that everyone is talking about and spoke about the Khan - Bachchan rivalry, noting that Bachchan didn't show up at Khan's New Years party. After playing some clips from Mohabbatein, Colbert ruled Khan the winner since he danced while Bachchan didn't.

A week later Colbert was talking about celebrity feuds again and changed his stance on the Khan - Bachchan rivalry after playing a clip of Bachchan shaking a leg in the song Shava Shava from the hit film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. After playing the clip, Colbert said he changed his mind and declared Bachchan the winner.

Meanwhile, the Bachchan - Khan rivalry continues to be a favorite topic, despite there being no real proof that a rivalry exists. The Indian media sure does love gossip and has been reporting a rift between the two superstars for years despite the two working together in many films. The gossip only increased after KBC 3 debuted last with with Khan taking over as host after Bachchan turned down doing it.
