Salman - I Will Marry When God ConsentsMy marriage is in God's hands: Salman Khan NEW DELHI: Actor Salman Khan has been romantically linked to several of his fellow stars over the course of his career, which has span two decades.

However, he says he has left getting married in God's hands.

When the actor was asked about any marriage plans, Salman, who was in Dehli for a promotional event, said, "Whenever He will give consent, I'll get married. Things are not in my hand. Without His will, nothing happens."

When the controversial star was questioned as to whether he was veiling some sadness by answering in such a philosophical fashion, he replied, "There is nothing like that. I believe that He controls all of man's decisions. I'm also waiting for his signal."

There had been rumours of the prospect of Salman finally tying the knot with Aishwarya Rai with whom he was romantically linked at one time.

On the subject of his 20-year career, with films from Biwi Ho To Aisi to Salaam-E-Ishq, Salman said he was looking forward to some of his upcoming films.

"I'll soon be doing an action film which will be a complete departure from my romantic image," he said, adding he was considering five to six scripts and would decide on them soon.

The star, who was once rated among the most attractive actors in the world by Time magazine, is satisfied with his career despite not being in the race for the number one slot.

He said, "I will continue to act as long as my fans want me to. Their happiness is everything for me."

Asked about the dominance of the three Khans – Shah Rukh, Aamir, and himself -- in Hindi Cinema, Salman said, "I don't think that only the Khans dominate. It's only a coincidence that all three of us came at about the same time and that we share the Khan surname".

He joked, "Stars like Hrithik, Akshay, Fardeen, Zayed and Sanjay Dutt are popular today. Salman's films are flopping," referring to his three previous films -- Jaaneman, Baabul and Salaam-E-Ishq - that did not fare well at the box office.

Salman's first Hollywood film Marigold, directed by Willard Carrol, is to be released within the next three months. Asked whether he had signed any other Hollywood film, he replied, "Not as yet. Let Marigold be released first". An avid painter, Salman also plans to hold an exhibition of his paintings. "So far I've finished 23 paintings and I'm waiting to paint 40 before I display them. I want to paint real paintings and they become abstract paintings by the time I finish them," he quipped.
