Celina Jaitley received a bleeding lip in a passionate, no-holds-barred kiss with Aftab Shivdasani.

Vikram Bhatt's forthcoming film, Red has Celina playing a young widow who gets involved in an intense physical and emotional relationship with a man (Aftab) suffering from a heart ailment.

In the film, Celina and Aftab are seen in many steamy and intimate scenes, one of which is a passionate kiss.

In the scene, Aftab is shown pushing Celina against a wall and then kissing her very forcibly.

Director Vikram Bhatt wanted the scene to look real, so he told the two actors to shed their inhibitions before shooting the scene.

However, when the shot was being taken, apparently Aftab got a little too wild on Celina. After a few takes, Celina was left with a bleeding upper lip.

The split got that much worse when an infection set in which was caused by the lipstick that Celina was using. The actress had to see a doctor and get a tetanus injection.

Following a two-day delay, the kissing scene was eventually completed.

Aftab was apparently quite embarrassed about the incident. It's a good thing he had requested his girlfriend, Yana Gupta, to stay off the sets while he was shooting the kiss with Celina.
