John Abraham will soon be joining the ranks of Ash and Irrfan. The actor has signed for a film that will see him starring opposite one of the Hollywood elete like Ash opposite Colin Furth and Ben Kingsley in the Last Legion, and Irrfan opposite Angelina Jolie in A Mighty Heart. John will be starring opposite actress and Oscar winner Rachel Weisz.

John has signed his first Hollywood film which will be directed by Deepa Mehta and is written by two time Oscar winner David Ward.

The film titled Luna is inspired by American Environmentalist Julia Hill's fight to save a famous California Redwood tree.

Apparently, environmentalist Julia was quite impressed by John and thought he looks like Antonio Banderas.

Deepa Mehta says John's character is neither Indian nor American in the film; his origins are not specified.

John also starred in Deepa Mehta's last film, Water, which was nominated at the Oscars.
