Shoot Out At Lokhandwala, which boasts a huge starcast which includes Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi, Sunil Shetty and Arbaaz Khan in addition to Bachchan, is currently at a 56% which is Above Average. Cheeni Kum has been faring much better with the critics. The Amitabh Bachchan - Tabu romantic comedy has a 62%, which is 'Good' and would already place it in the top 10 reviewed films of 2007 at #9. The consensus for Shoot Out At Lokhandwala is that it is a well made action film, but people who don't like violent films will not enjoy it as it is very violent. Cheeni Kum is more of a Hollywood type romantic comedy in that it is more dialogue driven than a normal Bollywood romantic comedy. Both stars of Cheeni Kum, Bachchan and Tabu, are being praised to the hilt for their performances, however due to the dialogue heavy content of the film, it may not appeal to all audiences.
