The list of films featuring both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan continues to grow. The two have been featured in Bunty Aur Babli (59%), Sarkar (69%), Ek Ajnabee (54%), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (65%), Shootout At Lokhandwala (53%) and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (48%). However, interestingly enough, the only films to feature both Bachchans in full fledged roles has been Sarkar, and to a lesser extent, Bunty Aur Babli. All the other films featured one or the other in a small role or a guest appearance. Shootout At Lokhandwala featured both in minor roles, but never in the same frame.

Now Amitabh Bachchan is slated to do a cameo in yet another Yash Raj release, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. The film stars Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee, Konkona Sen Sharma and Abhishek Bachchan and is directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Abhishek's role in the film is also said to be smaller than those of the leading ladies in the film. The film is scheduled to release on October 12, 2007.

Incidentally, this would be the first film to feature Amitabh, Jaya and Abhishek Bachchan. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham would have been the first, however Abhishek's cameo was cut out of the film before it's release.
