On Wednesday, the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) announced that this year's festival will honour actors Shah Rukh Khan, Oliver Stone and Nabil El-Maleh for their outstanding contribution to cinema.

This will be a part of the 'DIFF Salutes' programme, a retrospective that celebrates the work of distinguished film personalities from Asia, the Arab world, and Hollywood.

The Dubai International Film Festival will be held during the Dubai International Film Festival 2006, between 10-17 December, at the Madinat Jumeirah.
