Film industry strike in support of Sanjay DuttBy IndiaFM News Bureau, December 6, 2006 - 08:39 IST Mumbai: December 12 will see the entire film industry go on a nationwide strike.No work will take place within the film fraternity for the 'D Day' as they supporting Sanjay Dutt in his difficult time.It is well known now that Sanjay Dutt has been found guilty under the arms act but has been freed of any charges under TADA.
It was Suniel Shetty came up with the idea of the strike. Shetty believes Sanjay Dutt has given enough to the industry and the industry wallahs, at all levels, therefore, in this difficult time for Sanjay they want to show their support towards him.
All film associations have agreed to the strike.On 12th December, there will be a march towards Film City, where a petition will then be signed.
When Sanjay Dutt discovered what Suniel Shetty and the industry are going to do on his behalf, he became quite emotional and cried a great deal.
