Well, of course everyone has seen and /or heard of English subtitles on VCDs / DVDs , even French, Tamil and Telugu for Hindi films.

But when did you late see a Hindi film with...Hindi subtitles. No it's not a typo, that's exactly what Shemaroo has done for Omkara. The official VCD/DVD's are being released four weeks after its theatrical release of the Vishal Bhardwaj-directed film and they will have Hindi as well as English subtitles.

"The Hindi subtitles have been added so that the audiences can enjoy its dialogues and performances," states a press statement issued by Shemaroo.

With as thick as the accents are, it seems Shemaroo realises they are needed.
