Mumbai: After portraying anti-Pakistani roles in films like Gadar, Border, Maa Tujhe Salaam and others, macho star Sunny is going in for a serious change of image and none too soon.

Sunny is to become a patriotic Pakistani army officer in writer-producer-director-actor Ammtoje Maan's ambitious film Kaafila. "It's a path-breaking film in many ways. For the first time in Indian cinema, the main protagonist in the film is depicted as a patriotic Pakistani," says Maan.

In the past Sunny Deol's anti-Pakistani roles have been a huge hit in India, however overseas distributors have been unwilling to buy them due to their negative view on Pakistan. Things will change with Kaafila.

Hopefully, this film will be as big a hit, if not bigger, than the negative ones Sunny has done.
