He is the kind of star who doesn't need a surname. Like Amitabh, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Kajol and Ash to name a few, this actor is a household name, and often by forname alone - Hrithik. In reel life and real life, when Hrithik Roshan appears, girls go weak at the knees and boys try to take notes. He became a superstar over night with his debut film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and since then, he has been steadily climbing the ladder of success.
2006 was a rockin' year for Hrithik, with two superhit films, Krrish and Dhoom 2.
So, with that in mind would you be surprised to hear that someone failed to recognize Hrithik Roshan, despite the fact Hrithik was sitting and talking with that person?
Well, the incident happened once when he was in London. He took a cab and struck up a conversation with the driver. To his horror, Hrithik realised that the cab driver had no idea who he was and was talking with Hrithik just like another passenger. Hrithik explained to the cabbie that he was a big filmstar in India, but the mild reaction from the driver didn't really make the young Roshan happy.
Fortunately for him, when the cab stopped at a signal, a group of Indian girls spotted Hrithik in the cab and started screaming and pounding on the cab. It was then that the driver realised whom he was giving a ride.
Hrithik says it was the moment when he felt that God must have heard him. He was never happier to be surrounded by his fans than at that moment. The cab driver then didn’t take money from Hrithik. In fact, he asked him for his autograph instead.
