By Krishna Jewel | January 22, 2007
Madhuri: Yash Chopra dropped in to welcome Madhuri Dixit when she reported to the sets of Aaja Naachley He wanted to make her return a little special as the diva is making a comeback after several years. Madhuri reached the sets around 6.30 pm, shot through the night and reached home in the morning.

"When I left, it was time for my kids to sleep. They were not even aware that I was out shooting all night. So, next morning, they woke up and came to my room. When my elder son saw me sleeping he whispered into my ear, 'Mommy, good morning... why are you still sleeping? Get up, mommy'. Finally I had to get up. I am feeling so sleepy now,"says Madhuri Dixit already on her way back to the studio.

Madhuri says that the first day of shooting was memorable. "I was touched to see Yashji, who came personally to greet me. When I finished the take, everyone present at the shooting clapped. It was a very emotional moment for me,"she says.

She is not comfortable leaving her kids at home. "I will take my kids along with me. Yashji has been very kind and has got a toy house installed for my kids. He said, 'You act, we'll take care of your kids.' I am glad that I am working with such caring people,"she says.

Madhuri says that when she was putting on false eyelashes, her eldest son asked her, "Why are these for?" When she explained that she needs to put all this on to look good on screen, her son said, " 'But why so much make-up? You look nice without it.' It took time for me to explain it to him. After listening to everything, he looked at me and told me, 'But mummy I will never be able to become an actor. I don't have false eyelashes!' It's a fantastic feeling to talk to kids and know their mind."

So is she feeling pressure to prove herself again? "I don't need to prove anything. But I do know that people expect certain things from me and I am trying to live up to those. I was nervous during the first take, but gradually everything was fine. Acting is like swimming, you never forget it,"she says
