The highly anticipated Salaam-E-Ishq did not have the expected start on Thursday. Released everywhere, except Mumbai city-suburbs, where it opened on Thursday night with paid previews, the opening was good at multiplexes, but hit below the mark at several single screens.

However, on Friday the film got a huge boost as the collections everywhere were fantastic [almost 100%].

On another note, on Friday the makers of the film have trimmed the film by about 15 to 20 minutes.
