This week saw the release of two biggies in Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Of the two, Bhool Bhulaiyaa seems to be emerging as the clear victor!

Bhool Bhulaiyaa re-unites the successful Priyadarshan - Akshay Kumar pair, however this time the film is not a full fledged comedy, but more of a suspense thriller with comedic elements thrown in. And it seems to be working! The film is currently at a 55%, which is 'Above Average' with 13 critics reviews. Of those reviews, 9 have been positive and 4 have been negative. In our review of the film, Akshay Shah writes that the film is "definite time-pass and lives up to the entertainment 'mantra', however those expecting a full-fledged comedy will be disappointed to an extent as this movie is not just a comedy mindless comedy by any means, this one has a story to tell." On the opposite end of the spectrum is Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, which appears to be another setback for Yash Raj Films. The film has opened to tepid boxoffice and even worse reviews. We currently have 13 reviews for the film, of which 2 are positive, 3 average and the remaining 8 are negative. However, the negative reviews of the film are very negative, bringing the film to a 41%, which is 'Below Average' and is 2% away from being labelled with a 'Bad' tag (which is below 40%).
