The deteriorating reputation of Ram Gopal Varma continues as his latest production, Go, has fared terribly with critics, even worse than his Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag (29%). Go, directed by Manish Srivastav, is currently at a 17%, which is terrible. Of the 6 reviews it has received, all 6 are bad. Not one of the reviews for the film so far is above 1 star. The other new releases of this week haven't fared much better. Faring the best is It's Breaking News, at a 40%. Of the 5 reviews the film has received, 2 have been positive and the remaining 3 have been negative. The other two films are fairly under the radar and don't have many reviews for them. Chandrasekhar Yeleti's 50 Lakh it at a 33% with only 3 reviews, all negative. Meanwhile Chhodon Naa Yaar only has one review, which is bad and puts the film at a 20%.
It seems this week was the week that producers decided to release these small films before the two biggies that come out next week, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.
Of the two new releases of last week, Johnny Gaddaar is now at a 62% which is 'Good' and Dil Dosti Etc is at a 45%, which is 'Below Average'. Despite performing well with critics, Johnny Gaddaar flopped at the box office.
