Mumbai, Nov 8 (IANS) Diwali will most probably be a quiet affair for the Bachchan family with the condition of Teji Bachchan, mother of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, continuing to remain "critical but stable". The 92-year-old Teji is in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Lilavati Hospital, Bandra, where she was shifted Wednesday.

eji has been in the hospital for the past 10 months for treatment of age-related health problems. Owing to her poor health, she could not attend the wedding of grandson Abhishek with Aishwarya on April 20. The couple had gone to the hospital to seek her blessing soon after the wedding ceremony.
Since Wednesday, a host of VVIPs, family friends, politicians and Bollywood personalities have been streaming in to visit Teji. Apart from Amitabh, his brother Ajitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya, and Tina Anil Amabani came to visit Teji.
In 2004 and 2006, Teji had spent long spells in the hospital. She has been kept there to ensure round-the-clock expert health care.
