New Delhi: Saif Ali Khan, who was hospitalised all of last week after suffering chest pain, was discharged on Sunday.

Officials at the Lilavati hospital said he had undergone an angiography and had been kept under observation but was fine now.

Last week, the 36-year-old actor had complained of chest pain while rehearsing for the Stardust Awards function and had been immediately rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with blockage in his heart.

Outside the hospital, Saif said that he felt fine and would be back at work as soon as possible. He added that the doctors had asked him to stop smoking.

"I m better now. The doctor asked me to stop smoking. It was close," said the actor.

Saif was accompanied by his mother Sharmila Tagore, sister Soha and girlfriend Rosa after he was discharged.
