UTV Motion Pictures is getting all geared up for 2007 Cannes Film Festival. On 18 May, UTV will showcase two of upcoming projects - Jodha Akbar and Goal with each premiering at Cannes.
Director Ashutosh Gowariker and Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai will be present at the Cannes primier of Jodha Akbar. The second film, Goal, stars John Abraham & Bipasha Basu, both will be on hand at the Cannes unveiling.
Says Siddharth Roy Kapur, VP marketing and Sales "Indian films have always raised the curiosity factor in the west. With the new wave of Indian cinema has been widely acknowledged and welcomed across the globe which is a great positive for us. This year we would unveil two of our upcoming movies both of which have been positioned as international projects with a universal appeal."
UTV will also display its entire film catalogue at Cannes. This includes blockbusters like Swades, Don, Viruddh, Parineeta, Blue Umbrella, Chup Chup Ke, and Rang De Basanti.
