On Sunday night, heartthrob Hrithik Roshan was involved in a a road accident near Panvel in which his S-class Mercedes was badly dented. The actor was on his way to Karjat for the shoot of Jodha-Akbar escaped unhurt.

Reportedly, despite repeated honking from Hrithik's driver, Sushil, the Zen ahead of Hrithik's car wasn't giving way. After repeated attempts, Hrithik's driver finally managed to overtake the Zen. Once he was ahead of the Zen, the Mercedes slowed down a bit. Then suddenly the Zen rammed into Hrithik's car. Following which a Bolero which was traveling quite close to the Zen jammed the brakes hard but was then hit by a truck from behind causing it to ram into the Zen. One doesn't want to ponder what the results could have been had the accident happened at a higher Speed.

According to sources, Hrithik got out of his car and tried to confront the driver of the Zen; but upon realising the driver was drunk, he chose to leave instead. As there were no injuries as a result of the accident, Hrithik carried on to Karjat for the shoot.

Hrithik's Mercedes is only second of its kind in the whole of India; Karan Johar owns the other one. The Roshans car has been sent to the company for repairs.
