After a year of speculation, the 53rd National Film Awards for 2005 were announced yesterday. As rumored for some time now,
Amitabh Bachchan bagged his second National Award for Best Actor for
Black (79%). Some of the other awardees included Sarika taking Best Actress for
Parzania (74%),
Black (79%) won Best Feature Film in Hindi,
Rang De Basanti (77%) won Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment,
Parineeta (69%) won the Indira Gandhi Award for the Best First Film of a Director and
