SRK And The Case Of The Missing Card
SRK And The Case Of The Missing Card
Shah Rukh Khan and his missing credit card have been all over the headlines lately, and more so recently when the card was used by three people at a shopping centre in the Mumbai suburbs.

The odd events could be the makings of a Bollywood comedy.

10th February seemed to start normally enough on when Vinay Vijay Tambe (22), James Paul Peremal(28) and Shekar Jadhav(44) went to Shopper's Stop at Nirmal Lifestyle Mall in Mulund (W).

They shopped for clothes, watches, and other items, then handed over an ICICI credit card to pay for their items.

Now here is where the story changes; the credit card they handed over to pay the Rs. 25,000 bill belonged to none other than Shah Rukh Khan, who had lost his card and passport a few days earlier while shooting near Santacruz.

However, the sales executive immediately realised there was something amiss when he saw the actor's name on the slip, and yet Vinay Tambe had signed his own name on the slip, he hadn't even bothered to try to forge the actor's signature.

The shop had soon verified the situation with ICICI bank officials, then called the police and trio were taken into custody.

When questioned, the trio seemed oblivious that it was King Khan's card and casually claimed that they had merely found it lying on a road near Santacruz. They have been remanded in police custody until February 18.

In the meantime, the Mulund police are waiting to record King Khan's statement regarding his credit card.
