Sonu Nigam joins hands with Big FMNew Delhi, March 20(IANS) Playback singer Sonu Nigam has joined hands with radio station Big 92.7 FM for a contest titled 'Sing with Sonu' aimed at providing a platform to country's aspiring singers."This contest is an opportunity for the aspiring singers and we are proud to be presenting this platform. We are confident this will be extremely well received," Anand Chakravarthy, vice president marketing of Big 92.7 FM, said in a press statement here Thursday.

"We are very excited to bring forth another unique property in partnership with Sonu," said Chakravarthy.

The singer recently recorded a self-composed song, which he also sang. Big FM exclusively marketed the song titled "Punjabi Please".

The contest will span five cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chandigarh.

One finalist from each city will be selected to train with Sonu and will later stage performance with the singer in grand finale concerts.

The five finalists will be selected through a voting system April 7-13 and five grand finale concerts will be organised by the radio station April 16-20.

The call for entries to the auditions for the 'Sing with Sonu' contest will commence March 24 and end April 6.
